It's Pumpkin Carving Time!

Hello Friends!

It just wouldn't be Halloween without an annual pumpkin carving event! I think I have carved a pumpkin ever year of my life since I could safely hold a knife in my hand. With the handy tools and neat patterns they have available these days, you can easily create a work of art!
My sweet boyfriend James and I carved pumpkins together last Friday and we had so much fun.
After he scraped the "guts" out of his pumpkin he taped his pattern on and started working away. I was so excited to see how it was going to turn out this year. Last year he carved a beautiful ship with a massive sail and he did it without a pattern. It was a truly amazing work of art and so is he! I am so blessed to have him in my life.

I cleaned the goop out of my pumpkin too and used a pattern to carve a neat design instead of a traditional face. It feels so strange to pull all of the mushy strings and seeds out of the inside of the pumpkin. I think we enjoyed that task much more when we were little!

After James got done with the design and the carving, I couldn't wait to see what it looked like. His turned out to be a spooky castle and he did a really good job!

Mine says "welcome" inside a bat cave. It took a lot of hard work but it was worth it because of how they turned out and it was so much fun to spend that time with James doing this fun activity together. I drank some apple cider while carving my pumpkin which added to the experience!

Here is our fancy carved pumpkin duo in the light. They are so cool!

But they are even spookier in the dark!

I hope you enjoyed these carved pumpkins for Halloween. Please leave me a comment and visit again because I still have picutes of my cute house to show you and our fun "Trunk or Treat" event at my church on Saturday!
Blessings to You!
Love Tammy
