Is It Time For Fall Yet?

Hello my sweet blog friends! Is it fall yet? I am so thankful that August is over. It has by far been the most difficult month of the year for me. I don't know about you ladies, but we here in Oklahoma are SICK of the heat and we are ready for some cooler temperatures. I would also love some beautiful fall leaves on the trees, some homemade apple cider, my favorite jeans and sweaters, and some of that delicious candy corn snack mix I make every year in my pretty candy dishes around the house (although that only lasts a day or two around here!) I am so "in the mood" for fall . . . and with fall comes football season (Go Sooners!!!) and Halloween! I have begun some Halloween projects that I wanted to share with you. I made the cutest Halloween banner to hang on my fireplace mantle. I used scrapbook paper, glitter, crepe paper, chipboard, ribbon, and fabric to put her together.

I think she turned out REALLY cute. I have been having so much fun making these banners. I have made one for each holiday since Valentine's Day and I plan to continue making them.

Here is the finished product! Pretty cute, huh?

I have begun the process of taking all of the pink stuff and roses down and packing them away to transform my cute cottage into the most darling black and white Halloween haven you have ever seen. I can't wait to show you the pictures. Hopefully I will be able to share some new ideas with you for decorating your own space!

I made a few cute paper flowers for my Halloween decorating from the pages of an antique book. I painted the petals with silver glitter glue and then sprinkled some orange glitter over that. I am going to make several more to put here and there around the house for decoration. I am so excited to get busy decorating!

I have big plans to make more Halloween cuties and I will be sharing them with you all.     Love both the boo banner and the flowers. Great idea. I too am ready for fall. I have seen so many great ideas on different blogs that I have decided to do my decorating this week end. Had planned on waiting till after the 11th as I am decorated in summer with red, white and blue. But the fallideas just have tugged at my heart this year for some reason.

    It hasn't been as hot here in Pa. as it has been where you are but I am no lover of heat!
    I am so ready for Fall and I so agree with you about the changing leaves, apple cider and sweaters!!! I LOVE sweaters on a cool crisp day with brillant sunshine, don't you???
    Over the past few years since my sons got older, I sort of stuck more with just Fall decorations but after seeing so many great Halloween decorations here in Blogland over the last few years, I am itching to add more Halloween things to my decor.
    I am so looking forward to what you have to share with us as I am ripe for some new ideas!!

    Love your banner, and oh those paper flowers. adorable!!

    I make fabric flowers that look like that, but how do you make them with paper?? is it your trade secret??

    Your Halloween banner is very cute. I'm ready for some fall weather too - but living in SW FL it may be awhile (at January) before it cools off here!

    Love your swag, sooo cute. I see you are adding orange to your decor, very pretty. I know it will look like a Halloween Dream House by the time you're done. Your flowers turned out great. Aren't they fun?

    I am ready for fall here too, I am such a winter person, our summers are hazy,hot, humid,hellish! MISERY I tell ya. Our temps won't drop to feeling like fall til around mid October, I can't wait.
