Things are slow at work right now so I am taking advantage by catching up with all of your pretty blogs and by updating and adding some things to mine. I just wanted to share a funny with you today. Mr.Stoops is my precious Corgi/Beagle mix that I adopted in 2003 and he was about three-years-old then. My little man will be about 11 years old this year - that is 77-years old in dog years. Holy cow! He's a grandpa dog! But he still plays like he is a puppy! He has been with me through thick and thin for the past 7 years. He has always been there for me when I am sick or when I am sad or lonely. He is a good listener and a great comforter. During my recent divorce he did not leave my side and he would lay his head on my chest and snuggle close to me as I would cry in the night from a broken heart. He is such a good dog and so well behaved. He is my little man and I am so in love with him. I know I will come unglued when he is gone. He is a special guy.
Every morning he and I have a special routine. When it's time to get up I let him outside to potty, then he gets a drink of water and asks if he can get in my bed (his short, stumpy legs won't allow him to jump up on the bed unless he really tries and he knows he should ask first). So I put him in my bed and go get ready for work in the bathroom. Sometimes when I turn the TV on in the morning he goes into the living room to watch Ellen in his special chair (that I have replaced the cushion on twice now because he also thinks it is a chew toy). When I am done getting ready I put his dog bed in my utility room for him to stay when it's too cold outside. This morning I just so happened to have my camera with me and when I asked him if he was ready to go get in his room 'cause Mommy has to go to work now, that little dog stuck his tongue out at me! And I have proof! So after I composed myself from hysterical laughter I scooped him up in my arms, gave him a big smooch on the head, and put him in his bed. He brings me so much joy and happiness. I am so blessed to have him and I hope I never take his love for granted.
There is a bloggerette going by the name of "Anne F" that left me a sweet comment and I would love to check out her blog but I can't figure out how to get there. If any of you can help me find her blog I would appreciate it! Also she said she was redoing her house and if she hasn't seen my post on June17, 2010 of my Rosy Cottage - please check it out. There are some great before and after pictures of my home. It still amazes me how far that house has come!
I hope you all are having a great week! Blessings to you!
Love Tammy
Hi Tammy :) It appears that she is following you Privately, and may not have a blog of her own. Go to your Followers there on your sidebar, and go back to where it has your private followers ~ she is the one right next to your mothers picture ~ click on the Image, and from there, there is a link that allows you to send her a message :)

Oh so sweet, That looks like the sweetest puppy, even if he is naughty and sticks his tongue out! It looks like someone will help you get in touch with your mystery commenter

Tammy,I do not have a blog sorry. But I did check out the June pics and my goodness you have come a long way with your beautiful home. One day I would love to start a blog but right now my life is so busy caring for my elderly parents, homeschooling my younger two children and getting ready for my oldest sons wedding in the fall of this year. Thanks for acknowledging me on your blog.

Pups, even "old" ones can give you so much joy. I hadn't planned on getting one when we moved here, but ours had been running loose in the neighborhood where someone had dumped her and came scooting in under the gate of our back yard. She absolutely captured my heart! They can do that. I know you love yours!
ReplyDeleteTammy,

Tammy, I have a question, what type of white paint did you use on your furniture pieces. I want to make sure I get the right stuff before I start. Also I have a big family 6 kids and 2 grands and I was wondering will it hold up to them or not.
