Merry Christmas Friends!
I have so many beautiful things to share with you!
First I wanted to share the beautiful ornaments and tag I received from Lisa at Belles Roses Romantiques when we participated in a Christmas ornament swap. My favorite is the round ball with the pink ribbon roses because it is so feminine and sweet! I also love the tag with the beautiful bird and silver glitter she used - just beautiful!!! If you would like to see the ornament I made her, please check out her blog
here. Thank you to Debi for hosting this fun ornament swap!

Next I wanted to share the yummy (and so easy) recipe for peppermint sugar cookies I made for a cookie swap I had with my girlfriends at work. I am the director of a substance abuse prevention center and I have 4 wonderful ladies working for me. They all came over to my house for a gift exchange and cookie swap party and we had such a fun time! Here is the recipe for my peppermint sugar cookies:
1 package Betty Crocker sugar cookie mix
1/2 cup crushed peppermint candies (and some for decorating)
1 tsp peppermint extract
pink cookie icing
Mix up the cookies mix as directed on the package but use peppermint extract in place of some of the water it calls for. Add the crushed peppermint candies and stir well. Form dough in to a ball and freeze overnight. Roll frozen dough in to small balls and smash with a fork or smooth glass bottom. Bake for about 10 minutes in a 375 degree oven. After cooled drizzle with pink cookie icing and sprinkle with crushed peppermints. My cookies ended up being kind of crispy so if you want them to be softer don't cook them as long.

They were a big hit at the party and we are still enjoying the leftovers!

I also wanted to share this delicious PINK hot chocolate with you. You can find the recipe on Rebecca's blog
here. It is so delicious and so pretty in the cup! I added pink peppermint marshmallows to mine and it is heavenly! You have to try it!

James and I made these darling gingerbread sugar cookies and pink cocoa for Maggie and Lucie last night. We let them open one of their presents early last night, then we had cookies, cocoa, and a Christmas story. It was a sweet night.

Now I would like to take you through a tour of my sweet Christmas cottage. I think the pictures speak for themselves so I will just let you look!!!
This obviously is the bedroom. I used some bright pink in here and I just love it!
