Isn't the cherub print over the fireplace just heavenly?

I hate how ugly my TV is! I need to invest in a cabinet!

Here is my shelf above the TV decorated with roses and hearts for Valentine's Day.

I think the fireplace mantle turned out so pretty. I put the rose arrangement together myself and I think it is just lovely!

Each table has it's own pretty vignette for Valentine's Day. It all turned out so pretty!

These are some heart sachets I made from felt fabric and embellishments. They turned out so sweet and they were so fun and easy to make!

These sachets I made are in an antique cherub dish on my dresser. Aren't they just darling?

Here is Miss Molly dressed like the Queen of the Valentine Ball. Her dress is so pretty!!!

This is my favorite table vignette in this room. It just love the cherubs, roses, and hearts on this table and everything looks so sweet together.

Valentine Bedroom and Bath

Hello Blogger Friends!
I just wanted to show you my pretty Valentine's decorations in my bedroom and bathroom. Everything is very "Valentiney" and so sweet and feminine right now. It is hard to go to work every day and leave it behind!
I just love this pretty pink and white chenille bedspread. I bought it at an antique store years ago and have really enjoyed it. Recently I let Mr.Stoops lay on my bed and he decided to tear the bedspread up into shreds so now I will be making pillows out of it! I can't bare to throw it away and it can't be fixed. I will repurpose it!
I just love this sweet vignette on this shelf in my bedroom. I have had that print of that sweet girl with the roses for many years and get so much enjoyment from her. I painted the frame a shade of ivory to match the decor in the room. So pretty!

There is my Valentine tree in the corner. I am so proud of how it turned out. I can't believe I made almost all of the ornaments.

Here are some pictures of the bathroom, too. This room is always ready for Valentine decorations because the walls are PINK!!!

The cherub on the back of the toilet is so beautiful. It is a garden statue but I have never put it outside. I want it to stay nice and clean!

I just love this sweet "love" vignette. It is so sweet and feminine!

There are roses and hearts everywhere you turn!

I bought that dress form at a craft store and she used to be black and white. I recovered her with pink and ivory to match my decor. I made that sweet felt heart on the shelf too. They match so perfectly!

Thank you for taking the time to look at my pretty Valentine bedroom and bathroom. I hope you liked what you saw and you will leave me a comment!
Blessings to you!

White Valentine Tree

Hello Blogger Friends!

After Christmas came and went I didn't have the heart to take down my pretty white tree in my bedroom so I left it up and made a bunch of beautiful decorations for it. Here are some close-up pictures of some of the decorations I made and of the whole tree after I got it decorated.
This is my favorite ornament I made. It is a chipboard frame that I painted pink and glittered. Then I glued a Victorian Valentine image then I finished it off with embellishments and scrapbook paper on the back. I made a series of these ornaments - 3 each of white, baby pink, hot pink, and red.

Here is another series of heart ornaments I made from scrapbook paper and embellishments. They turned out so pretty!

I love the glitter trim on this heart. It really makes it sparkle!!!

I also cut out cherbs from glittery scrapbook paper and embellished them. I just love how they turned out!

I also make X's and O's for this tree from scrapbook paper, chipboard, and embellishments. We can never have enought hugs and kisses!

Here is one of the many tussie mussie's I made. I want to fill them with Valentine treats next year.

A few more chipboard-framed Valentines. So sweet!

I just love how all of my ornaments turned out! The great thing is I have them all ready for next year so decorating will be so easy!!!

I REALLY love my sweet Valentine tree and I am proud of myself that I made almost all of the ornaments on it! Isn't it pretty?

I hope you have enjoyed seeing my pretty Valentine tree. Please let me know what you think!

Blessings to you!

Valentine's Day With My Sweetie

Hello Blogger Friends!

I wanted to share my special Valentine's night with my sweetie. When I got home from work on Monday I cleared the table of the pretty pink cherub dishes, etc. and set up a romantic dinner for two. I used my black and white toille table cloth, black place mats, and my rose point and red transferware dishes. It turned out so pretty and very romantic.

James bought me an arrangement of flowers in that red vase in the center of the table and I wanted to reuse it for this special dinner. I went to the grocery store to buy some red roses that are usually $9.99 a dozen but were $17.99 a dozen especially for Valentine's Day! Oh what a joy! So I settled for red carnations and white daisies that were $4.00 each and I think they are just as beautiful!!! I put the arrangement together when I got home and it turned out so pretty!

When James got there he was bearing gifts and Italian food. We had an eggplant dish, baked ziti, Greek salad, and minestrone soup. They have the best bread ever and we enjoyed that too!

James also brought me the most beautiful bouquet of flowers. I was so surprised and happy. He is such a sweet man and a wonderful boyfriend to me! He spoils me with love and I am so thankful he is in my life! I put together a basket of Valentine's gifts for him too.

After we enjoyed our romantic, candle-lit dinner we watched "The Bachelor" because I am addicted to that show. James is such a good sport and he endured the entire show with me. Love will make you do crazy things, huh?

Then we enjoyed a fondue for two that I put together. I was surprised I had all the needed supplies. I put whole strawberries, bananas, angel food cake, graham crackers, pretzel sticks, and marshmallows in their own separate bowls and then melted some semi-sweet chocolate chips in a bowl. We used wooden barbecue skewers for dipping. This was such a fun and delicious treat to share together!

James and I had such a wonderful Valentine's Day evening together. I am so in love with him and I am so excited for our future together. Every day is magical when I am with him.
We have exciting plans for the weekend and I will be sharing them with you on Monday (hopefully) as well as a Cherry Truffle cookie bar recipe, and pictures of my bedroom, living room, bathroom, and kitchen all dressed up for Valentine's Day!
I hope you have a blessed weekend!

Pink Valentine Tree

Hello Blogger Friends!

I wanted to show you my sweet pink Valentine tree I put up in my kitchen! This was the little tree that was in my bathroom at Christmas. It was so pretty I didn't have the heart to put it away so I bought and made some beautiful decorations to dress it up for the season of love!
Here are some close-ups of ornaments I made from scrapbook paper, chipboard, and embellishments. I was absolutely in love with these beautiful creations after I got done. They are just so beautiful and they were so fun, cheap, and easy to make!

I love the sparkly pink jewels on this one!

What a cute pink heart button!

The dove is actually a cake topper. Wouldn't they be sweet on some fancy Valentine cupcakes?

This one looks like a little gift with the ribbons going cross ways. It certainly is a little treasure and I will cherish these ornaments for years to come!

I love the sweet ivory ribbon on this ornament. It is so delicate and feminine!

I also made X's and O's by painting some wooden letters pink and then adding jewels and pearls.

In this picture you can see the tiny doves I bought and added pink glitter to their wings. Just so sweet!!!

I also made a series of heart ornaments from scrapbook paper, chipboard, and embellishments.

This one is lined in pink jewels. So pretty!

I love the big heart jewel in the middle of this one. It gives it some character!

Here is the whole tree one more time with the lights twinkling! There are some other pink heart ornaments on it that I purchased. All together it is just beautiful. I wish you could see it in person!

I hope you have enjoyed seeing my pretty pink Valentine tree and my hand-made ornaments. Please leave me a comment if you liked it!
Blessings to you!

Valentine's Tea Party 2011

Hello Blogger Friends!

I had a Valentine-themed tea party on February 12th and invited my mom and grandma. The tea table was all set up when my sweet guests arrived. I served them strawberry muffins, fresh fruit, and butter cookies dipped in chocolate.
My mom made that beautiful plate of chocolate chip scones and she brought lemon curd to go with it. Everything was so delicious!

I used my beautiful pink cherub dishes for this tea party. They were perfect for Valentine's!
Here is a close-up of those tasty butter cookies. They were plain when I bought them. I melted some semi-sweet chocolate chips and dipped one end of the cookie in and sprinkled Valentine pretties on the chocolate to decorate it up. They turned out so sweet!

Here is a great view of mom's scones. She even cut them into heart shapes and used red and pink sprinkles to go with our theme. They were SO delicious!

Here is the place setting for my tea table. I used a pink place mat with a lace place mat on top of that. I think it is so pretty!

I made these napkin rings out of scrapbook paper, chipboard, and embellishments. They go perfectly with the dishes! I had fun making them and they are just so sweet!

Here is my sweet Nanny and me. I was so glad she was able to come and be a part of our fun morning together. We always have so much fun talking and laughing. It is such a joy to have such special, wonderful ladies in my life!

Here is my mom and me. I was so thankful she could come too. She brought me a beautiful can she decorated and filled with Valentine candy for a hostess gift. It was so sweet and thoughtful of her to do that. I will have to take a picture and show you how sweet it is!

After we had tea and talked we did some shopping together. It was a really fun morning and I hope we can do it again soon. I am excited about decorating for spring so maybe I can have another tea party for Easter!
I hope you enjoyed my Valentine tea party pictures. Please leave me a comment and have a wonderful day!
Blessing to You!
